Sutton Hoo

Sutton Hoo is an archaeological site dating from the Middle Ages and it is situated in England. The site hid a ship with the ashes of Redwald, who was a british king. He was the king most powerful on the south of the river Humber. His tomb represents the thing most important for the site of Sutton Hoo. The ship was long 27 meters and was covered by ground. Within the tomb there were treasures that were very important for the english archaeologists that knew few things of that period. They found an armor of metal covered with gold, precious gemstones, ceremonial helmet, a shield with a sword and other little things.
